Select Star, Inc. (“Company”, “we”, or other cases of pronoun for “we”) lawfully processes and securely manages personal information in compliance with Personal Information Protection Act and other Relevant Laws to safeguard the freedoms and rights of Data Subjects. We implement and publish this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to guide Data Subjects on our procedures and standards for processing personal information and to ensure that any grievances in relation thereto are addressed swiftly and efficiently.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Data Subject(s) of personal information shall refer to individual(s) who is identifiable through the personal information and is the subject of the personal information.

Any capitalized terms used but not defined herein shall have the respective meaning ascribed to such terms under Select Star, Inc. Terms of Use ("ToU”). If undefined thereunder, they shall take on the generally accepted meaning.

Article 1. Personal Information Processed

We process personal information of data subjects as follows:

Article 2. Personal Information of Children

1. When collecting personal information of children under the age of 19 (“Child”), we collect personal information to the minimum extent necessary for the provision of App Services, under the consent of their legal representatives.
   • Information Required from Legal Representative: name, relationship with Child, and contact information of the legal representative.
2. In addition to the above, when collecting personal information of Children for promotional purposes in relation to App Service, we obtain consent from their legal representatives separately from the above.
3. When collecting personal information of a Child, we reserve the right to request minimal information, such as the name, relationship, and contact information of the Child’s legal representative, and to verify whether the consent is being given by a legitimate legal representative of the Child by using methods such as those listed below:
   1. By having the legal representative indicate his/her consent in App where the consent terms are posted and notifying the legal representative that we have confirmed the consent via text message sent to his/her mobile phone;
   2. By having the legal representative (i) indicate his/her consent in App where the consent terms are posted and (ii) provide us with his/her credit, debit, or other comparable card information;
   3. By having the legal representative indicate his/her consent in App where the consent terms are posted and verifying his/her identity through mobile phone identity authentication;
   4. By issuing a document stating the consent terms directly to the legal representative or sending it by post mail or fax, and having the legal representative submit it back to us after signing or affixing a seal thereon;
   5. By sending an e-mail stating the consent terms and having the legal representative reply to the e-mail with a statement of his/her consent;
   6. By notifying the legal representative of the consent terms via phone and acquiring his/her consent via phone, or guiding the legal representative on where to review the terms and acquiring his/her consent via phone afterwards; or
   7. By notifying the legal representative of the consent terms using any other method comparable to those mentioned above and confirming his/her indication of consent.

Article 3. Third-Party Transfer of Personal Information

1. We process personal information solely for the purposes expressly stated under Article 1 We do not provide personal information to any third party except as permitted under Article 17 and Article 18 of Personal Information Protection Act, such as provision of personal information to a third party upon consent from Data Subject or for compliance with special provisions in statutes.
2. Notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary herein, we reserve the right to provide personal information to the relevant institutions without obtaining consent from the Data Subject in the event of an emergency, such as disaster, infectious disease, event or accident that poses imminent danger to body or life, or imminent loss of property; provided, however, that, in such cases, our provision of personal information will be restricted to the minimum extent required under the applicable Relevant Laws, and solely for the purpose of addressing the emergency.

Article 4. Entrustment of Personal Information Processing

1. To facilitate the seamless provision of Services, we outsource certain tasks in the processing of personal information by entrusting the following service providers with corresponding tasks specified below:

2. For every entrustment of personal information processing hereunder, we will execute an entrustment agreement with the respective service provider. Such entrustment agreement will expressly forbid the respective service provider from processing personal information for purposes other than the entrusted task, mandate the implementation of technical and managerial safeguards for personal information, prohibit re-outsourcing, and subject the service providers to our inspection and supervision. We will oversee the service providers to ensure the secure processing of personal information.

3. Any changes to the above list of service providers or the details of their entrusted tasks will be reflected on this Privacy Policy without undue delay.
